i. Michael TERHUNE (bc July 1839 Tennycape d. 6 Jun 1912 ae 72 Walton bur. Tennycape (29) Farmer. Married 1861/0 at Noel, Leanna (Lehannah) O'BRIAN (July 29 1837/1827-Oct 12-1923 ae 98 (headstone) ), daughter of Isaac & Jane (Isobella Jennie) McLellan O'Brian. Note: There is also Isacc O'Brian who married Janet Belinda Terhune b. 1815. Leanna was the first school teacher in the new school house at Moose Brook. In 1888 Michael and son Fenwick built another school house in Moose Brook (From Nelly Fox ref. 30) Terhune children:

2.-Rebecca J. "Jennie"? TERHUNE, (b June 27 1864 Tennycape-June 22 1931 Truro) Registered nurse. Unmarried. Immigration record for Rebecca J. Terhune age 45 b. Walton, crossing into Bridgeport Con May 8 1925. 15 years difference in age? See photo below.

3.-Robert Fenwick TERHUNE (1867*-1870-d. Jan 28, 1922 Boston Mass) Married Jan 20 1896 Jessie Morris BROWN (Jun 1878-Jan 1 1936). Dau of Benjamin and Matilda Terhune Brown. Fenwick and Jessie were first cousins. (MChurch) 1900 US census has Robert & Jessie in Boston, they arrived in USA 1894. *marriage and census points to 1867 as the correct birth year.

4.-Mary Elizabeth (Libbie) TERHUNE (Sept 41870*/69? Tennycape-1942), married (Mar. 14, 1901 in Halifax NS age 30) Lewis Malcolm WOOLAVER age 28(1873-1946) of Walton son of Howard and Fannie Woolaver. Witness F. Salter, Ameda (sic) Terhune. Family *1870 was the date on her application made by Lewis Woolaver in1926. 1869 according to 1871 & 1881 census. Belinda's dates below are fairly certain and would also imply 1869. In the 1871 census, Mary, ae 2 was listed after Belinda, ae 4/12, and the rest of the children. Sometimes this indicates she was adopted.

5.-Anne Belinda Terhune (bc Jan 2,1871 d. Dec 17 1872) was age 0 in 1871 Hants census (28.) Possibly "Linnie" whose gravestone indicates that she was a daughter of Michael & Leanna and died Dec 17, 1871 aged 11 mo. 15 days.

7.-David Addeson TERHUNE (b. 2 Oct 1872 Tennycape d. 21 Nov 1924 Grand Forks BC) ) David Adison TERHUNE married 21 Mar 1896 in B.C. Emma Florence BROWN. (b Oct 281876 (33)/77 Tennecape, d. 1939) Dau of Benjamin and Matilda Terhune BROWN. David and Emma were first cousins. Lived in Okanagan Precinct WA. Immigrated to the US in 1898 from Canada. Occupation was gold miner. Had two children also listed as Canadian. He was listed as divorced at the time of his death. Enderby Press May 3 1917 "The name of Pte. D.A. Terhune who enlisted from Enderby, was reported in the casualty list this week as wounded". David is mentioned in Michael's will (30). 1901 Census has Emma living with Charles and Fred in Rossland BC.

-Chas J. (or A.) TERHUNE (b. 27 Oct. 1897 (Jan 29, 1897), Canada d. 27 Oct. 1994 Sacappose, OR ). He was a grinder at Skookum Co. OR in 1953 & his wife's nme was Laura. Charles ae 4 and Fredrick ae 2 boarding in Greenwood BC.. they appear twice in 1901 census.

-Fredrick N. TERHUNE (b.23 Feb 1899 (11 Oct 1899), Rossland BC Canada d. Aug 1981 Kent WA). Married 21 Oct 1927 Edith E. Redmon in Vancouver WA daughter of Grant and Bertha Baugh Redmon. He was a machinist at Skookum Co. OR in 1953.

8.-Letitia/Lettia Ellen (Letty, B) TERHUNE ( b 6 Apr1875 Tennecape 26)) She was living with her mother, Leannah in Walton, NS (1921 census) and was living in Truro NS Feb 24 1943

9.-Lillie/Lily May TER,HUNE (b. Nov 11 1877 Tennycape also 11 Dec 1879) of Whittier married 26). In 1916 she was living in Enderby, B.C. 1922 Lily M Terhune, a teacher, was travelling from brother David Terhune in B.C. to cousin Robert Reid in Chino, CA

10.-Amida Ellen TERHUNE ( b. Jul 9 1880 Tennycape(26)-d. Mar 11 1960, Truro, NS). Married Sept 1,1904 Allen/Allan McLean EVANS (b. 23 Feb.1873 Kingsclear, NB-d.10 Mar. 1950 Truro, NS) son of John & Rebecca M. Witness Libbie Terhune Woolaver and Lewis Woolaver. (Ref 29). 1911 census has Allen 37, Amida 31, Laurence 13, Beatrice 11 (marr Thomas Hussey), Sadie 9 living in Truro, NS. Children presumably from 1st marriage to Sadie CAMERON.

ii. Robert Morrison TERHUNE (1841-Jan 30, 1906 Kempt Hants County, N.S).

Married (Nov 1, 1866 at Tenne Cape by Rev. J. McLELLAN; witness John Calder) Elizabeth Isabell FERGUSON (bc. 1844 d.-Oct. 21, 1908) daughter of William FERGUSON & Christine ROSS (Pioneer). (Both RMT & EIFT buried in the church graveyard at the Kempt Shore.) Family Pictures

William FERGUSON was born in Scotland in 1807 and arrived in Nova Scotia in 1828. He worked on the Uniacke farm at Mount Uniacke, N.S. and then purchased part of the Archibald Carr land at Moose Brook about 1839. In 1855 he built a house of sawn lumber. He brought seeds and cuttings from Scotland and it is believed that many orchards of Hants County owe their origins to the Ferguson Orchard (2.)
